Privacy Policy
The short version
Your data stays on your device. Filuma has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no servers of its own. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information — we never see it in the first place.
What Filuma stores, and where
Your tasks, schedule, work sessions, blocked times, and settings are stored in a local database on your device. This data is shared only with Filuma's own widgets on the same device, and it is included in your device backups according to your iOS backup settings. Filuma never transmits it to us or to any third party.
Settings includes an "Export my data" button that writes everything Filuma knows to a plain JSON file. That file is created on your device and goes only where you choose to send it.
Voice capture
If you dictate a task, Filuma uses your microphone and Apple's speech recognition service to turn your words into text. Depending on your device and language, Apple may process the audio on its servers to produce the transcription, as described in Apple's privacy policy. Filuma keeps only the resulting text — the task you captured — and never stores or transmits the audio itself. Dictation is optional; typing works everywhere.
Apple Calendar
If you grant calendar access, Filuma can read events from the calendars you choose so it can schedule around your busy time, and can mirror your planned work blocks into a dedicated "Filuma" calendar. All of this happens on your device through Apple's calendar framework. Imported events are used only to mark time as busy — they never become tasks, and they are removed from Filuma when you turn the import off.
Google Calendar (optional)
Google Calendar sync is entirely optional; Filuma is fully usable without it. If you connect a Google account:
- Filuma requests access to your calendar events, plus your email address so Settings can show which account is connected.
- Events are read only to mark time as busy in your schedule, and your planned work blocks can be written to your primary Google calendar. Google events never become tasks.
- Your device talks to Google directly. There is no Filuma server in between, and your sign-in tokens are stored in the device Keychain.
- Disconnecting in Settings removes the imported events and the stored tokens. You can also revoke Filuma's access at any time from your Google account permissions.
Filuma's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Notifications
Block-start nudges, the morning preview, and the evening wrap-up are local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely on your device.
Retention and deletion
Everything lives on your device, so you are always in control. Deleting a task deletes it; disconnecting a calendar integration removes what it imported; deleting the app deletes all of Filuma's data. There is nothing held anywhere else that we could retain.
Children
Filuma is a general-audience productivity app and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If Filuma's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the effective date above revised before the change ships.
